Thank you to all you awesome moms who keep our children alive because God knows if it were up to us men they'd be in trouble!

I would especially like to thank and recognize the three greatest mom's in the universe my mom, my wife Leslie and my mother in law Nancy!

I would also like to give a shout out to health care workers because they have a really hard job!

We are having a special workout tomorrow in our regular Sunday class to honor all our mother's and we hope you all can make it!  A big thanks to coach Kan and coach Kristin for making it happen!

I had every intention and was so looking forward to being there and participating in this workout but as often happens Life had other plans and through us a little curve ball and I had to come down to Columbus to help and be with my mom and dad. I had to do this because my dad had to go in yesterday and have triple bypass open heart surgery!   I did the workout this morning at Blacklick park, which is a nice park about 2 miles from my parents’ house in Columbus. It SUCKED doing it by myself, but I will be with everyone tomorrow in spirit and I was glad that I am able to do any workout being away from home and having to take care of my parents!

What happened to my dad and his health (or lack thereof) just makes me EVEN MORE COMMITTED to my LIFE MISSION of helping to INSPIRE AS MANY PEOPLE AS I CAN TO LIVE HEALTHIER, HAPPER AND MORE FULFILLING LIVES!  I feel bad for not having a more positive impact on my dad's health choices during his life since fitness and nutrition have been my passion for almost 40 years! Perhaps now as a result of his heart surgery his ways will change, and he will live a healthier lifestyle.  I CERTAINLY HOPE SO!

Since I spent most of my time working in our fitness business and don't get out much, the last four days in Columbus and in our healthcare system has reopened my eyes to the absolute pandemic of poor health that is currently going on in our country. Most people I see at the hospital AND outside of the hospital are severely unhealthy. As my mom and I were waiting in the hospital heart surgery waiting room with many other families I could not believe what the family members of the heart patients were consuming while they were waiting for their loved ones to come out of heart surgery. NOTHING BUT JUNK FOOD AND SODA (i.e. POISON)!  I found it ironic that there were so many NO SMOKING signs all over the hospital campus and yet the cafeteria, gift shops and vending machines were PACKED with JUNK FOOD AND SODA!  When I asked the gift shop attendant if they had any healthy options for snacks that I could buy my mom he said, "Sure we have lots of Trail Mixes" all of which contained TONS of sugar bad carbohydrates and other chemicals!  I don't blame the attendant at all. He doesn't know any better, most doctors don't know any better (SORRY IT'S TRUE!) and MOST PEOPLE don't know any better!  It is good for their business model however!  I also think that since the healthcare industry paints so many ailments such as heart problems as a “disease” people feel like it’s not their fault that they “caught” this “disease” like a virus and not through POOR LIFE CHOICES!!  It’s true, some people are simply unlucky and get a disease like heart disease due to bad genetics or other factors which were no fault of their own.  However, I would be willing to bet that MOST people get diseases such as heart “disease” from their own LIFE CHOICES such as poor nutrition and a lack of proper exercise.

Something is TERRIBLY WRONG when most people have no issues spending tons of money on junk food, alcohol, coffee, soda, prescription drugs and major surgery but they say that anything more than $20/month is too much for a fitness membership that PAYS HUGE DIVIDENDS and WILL save them SIGNIFICANT PAIN later in life.  I am willing to bet anyone that says that they don't have the money for a good health and fitness program membership like ours a $100 that if they gave me ALL of their TRUE monthly expenses I would EASILY be able to find an extra $200 per month in their finances that they are wasting on shit every month and could use to a more positive ends. YOUR PAYMENT FOR A PROPER NUTRITION AND FITNESS PROGRAM IS AN INVESTMENT AND NOT AN EXPENCE! Would there be sacrifices involved?  Of course, but the bottom line is that IT IS EITHER PAY A LITTLE NOW OR LIKE MY DAD A LOT LATTER!!

The other major EXCUSE we get OVER AND OVER AGAIN as to why people “CAN’T” do our program is "I don't have the time due to my kids’ activities, my job, my partner's job, ...." Again, I would wager that I could find at LEAST one hour per day in their schedule that they could dedicate to exercise! Monday through Friday our classes begin at 5AM and end at 8PM and we have classes seven days per week! Would they perhaps have to get up an hour earlier to do it? Would it be difficult?  OF COURSE, BUT NO ONE SAYS THIS IS EASY, WHICH IS WHY THERE ARE SO MANY UNHEALTHY PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY!  NOTHING WORTHWHILE IS EASY BUT ALL THE BAD CHOICES ARE!

When you make your HEALTH YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY everything else in your life gets better! Your mental health is better! You have more energy and GUESS WHAT? Because of this YOU MAKE MORE MONEY! IT’S A FACT!  ASK TONY ROBBINS!!  You’re a BETTER PARENT, SPOUSE, PARTNER, LOVER, EMPLOYEE, BOSS, CHILD, AND THE LIST GOES ON!

AND I HAVE MORE NEWS FOR YOU!  I'M 53 and maybe I'm doing something wrong, but my life just keeps getting BUSIER and my EXPENSES HIGHER! YOU WILL NEVER HAVE MORE TIME OR MORE MONEY! SO, STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND COMMIT TO SOME KIND OF NUTRITION AND FITNESS PROGRAM!  THE LONGER YOU WAIT THE MORE DIFFICULT IT IS AND YOU ARE JUST CHEATING YOUR LOVED ONES IN THE END!

The third major excuse we get from people who say that they can’t do a program like ours is that they are not as motivated to exercise and be as healthy as I am. YOU DON’T NEED TO BE AS MOTIVATED AS I AM! If I created this business model to only work for people who are as motivated as I am about their health and fitness we would have maybe 10 members after 5 years!!! Many of our member HATE to workout and EAT RIGHT and HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING HAS WORKED FOR THEM BUT OUR PROGRAM!!  WE HAVE THE SECRET SAUCE (i.e, GREAT FITNESS, NUTRITION AND ACCOUNTABILITY COACHES AND A GREAT SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY), AND THIS IS WHY IT WORKS!  AGAIN, IT’S NOT EASY BUT IT WORKS AND IT’S FUN!

I'LL SAY IT AGAIN: PAY A LITTLE NOW OR A LOT MORE LATER!!  AND IF YOU PAY NOW YOU GET TO PAY FOR A FUN PROGRAM LIKE OURS INSTEAD OF OPEN-HEART SURGERY LATER!
